What would the theme Cinema for Everyone? be without collaboration with Mikrofest, a festival of under-the-counter short films – a showcase of residual audiovisual material open to anyone with a recording device. A microfilm is an audiovisual work whose ambition likely never lay in being presented to audiences on a big screen, yet it can gain a new dimension there. Videos made “just like that,” creation “for nothing,” which is by no means worthless. In carefully curated, interconnected thematic blocks, audiences will encounter films they would not see anywhere else.

The Showcase of Under-the-Counter Films is also an anti-competition for both highly valuable and completely useless prizes.
