Do you have films in your family archive on narrow-gauge formats such as 8 mm, 9.5 mm, or 16 mm and don’t know what to do with them? Bring them for digitisation to the Chopin House.

A gathering focused on archival films will take place in cooperation with the National Film Archive as part of the so-called Home Movie Day. Visitors will be able to identify the content of the brought materials and preserve them for the future. After agreement on site, the materials will be taken into care by curators from the National Film Archive, who will also provide free digitisation for donors.

As part of the programme, a screening curated by NFA curator Jiří Horníček will present amateur films and reports from the UNICA Congress (International Festival of Amateur Film), which took place in Mariánské Lázně in 1948 and 1966.
