Ondřej Holý, performing under the alias dné, is deservedly one of the most widely listened-to musicians in the Czech Republic. His sensitive and meticulously crafted albums have earned both Czech awards and international recognition. Characterised by a distinctive blend of analogue synthesizers, piano, guitars, and sounds drawn from everyday life, his music playfully reflects on existence at the intersection of reality and the digital world.
As part of Dojetí, dné will present a unique set composed exclusively of his film music. As a composer, he has contributed to the films Nothing Like Before and Freedom Island, as well as the series Five Years. The programme will also feature, exclusively, music from the American film Donostia, which is scheduled to premiere later this autumn.
Created exclusively for the Marienbad Film Festival, this performance will be accompanied by a live projection using surplus materials from the archive of cinematographer Stanislav Adam—including unused footage and camera tests. Adam has worked as cinematographer on films such as After Party and On the Other Side of Summer.
