In the near future, people begin purchasing robotic “grandmas” — efficient domestic helpers capable of everything from cleaning and cooking to raising children. These advanced machines offer much-needed relief to overworked families and quickly become a massive hit. The Loud family, however, resists the trend — the father, Zdeněk, insists no robot will cross their threshold. But the situation worsens: his wife Jarmila grows increasingly unhappy, the real grandmother refuses to help, and the neighbors boast about their own robot grandma.
