The portrait of a post-industrial town in Burgundy, France through the lens of a former employee who used to work in one of the factories. An intimate portrait and the use of found footage allow us to feel the post-industrial presence and the connection to the film's main character.
Carla Geronimi is an artist and filmmaker based in London, originally from Geneva, Switzerland. Working primarily with video, photography, and sound, her practice explores the materiality of these mediums, using archives, images, and analog techniques. She focus on capturing real-life stories, particularly from working-class and older generations, examining the intersection of documentary, fiction, mythology, and reality. She holds a Master in Fine Art Media from the Slade School of Fine Art (2024), a Postgraduate Diploma in Location Sound Recording for Film & TV from the National Film and Television School (2023), and a Bachelor in Sound Arts & Design from the University of the Arts London (2019).
