Fibonacci (director: Tomáš Hubáček) 2020, 8 min, without dialogues
Human swarm running through the land. Thirteen performers in a drop-shaped formation create a single organism, controlled by a collective intelligence or intuition. It spills over the land of geometric patterns, terrain waves, divides and reconnects. It stops at the horizon to rest and then runs on. The contrast between a lively movement and the still geometry of the land.
Soon It Will Be Dark (režie: Isabell Heimerdinger) 2020, 22 min, bez dialogů
Night and day on a distant island.
Life on the island follows the changing pace of day and night. Where the only road seeps into the forest, the air gets warmer, more humid in the dense undergrowth. His work in the shade of tall trees is accompanied by the sounds of nature. At night, at the other end of the road, his loneliness is softened by the voices of the others, next to the warming fire, until the first light.
The film becomes an exercise in contemplation, caring for these repetitive actions like crossing the landscape in a pickup truck, a tracking shot slipping between the land and the sea into the ellipse. The atmosphere is totally serene, indifferent to the outside world that would threaten its fragile equilibrium – the party heard from afar, or these televisions with their indistinct babble.

Vladimír Turner retrospective programme
A selection of films by artist Vladimír Turner who combines film, installations, performance and intervention in public space. His work focuses on socio-political themes of sustainability and urbanism, reflection on activism and DIY culture and he often creates his art projects directly in public space, also because this context is closer to him than the ideological space of a white cube.

La guerre est finie (director: Alain Resnais) 1966, 121 min, French with Czech subtitles
Spanish republican veteran continues his resistance against the Francoist state in his exile in France and the film dramatically captures his identity crisis almost in a diary manner. The plot extends over three days and thematises not only the opposition between erotic relationships and conspiracy, but more importantly the question of identity and memory that goes with it. The film La guerre est finie (The War is Over) was also screened at the 1966 Karlovy Vary IFF in the presence of its director, where it was awarded only the FIPRESCI Prize due to pressure from the Spanish Communists. The film is based on a screenplay by Jorge Semprún.

Lux Æterna (director: Gaspar Noé) 2019, 51 min, French with Czech subtitles
An essay on cinema, the love of film and the hysteria of filmmaking.
"Burn her at the stake, light the fire", the crowds outside chanted.
May light eternal shine upon them, O Lord,
with Thy Saints for evermore:
for Thou art gracious.
Eternal rest give to them, O Lord,
and let perpetual light shine upon them:
With Thy Saints for evermore,
for Thou art gracious.“

ESTER
industrial, darkwave
Italian-born, Prague-based DJ Ester is sort of a young blood to the local scene. Her enthusiasm for electronic music brought her to play her first gig in 2018, since then she brings us a long, dark, escalating journey through her sets mainly inspired by the sounds of electronic body music, industrial and post-punk.
But there are no borders in her music selection, you can also hear her play dark-ambient and oriental stuff that fill the gaps of silence in her life on daily basis.
